Form Regular Verbs in Simple Tenses

~10 min

For most regular verbs, we add -ed to the base form for past tense: 'walk' becomes 'walked'.

Regular Past Tense Verbs

Today I walk. Yesterday I walked.

When an action happened in the past, we add -ed to the end of a regular verb. For example, walk becomes walked.

💡 Look for the -ed ending to spot verbs that describe actions that are finished.
