When we write letters, we use commas (,) in special places. We put a comma after the greeting (e.g., 'Dear Mom,') and after the closing (e.g., 'Love,').

Dear Grandma,
When you write a letter to someone, you put a comma right after their name in the greeting. For example, you write 'Dear Sam,' with a comma at the end.
