A complete sentence must have a subject (who or what the sentence is about) and a predicate (what the subject is doing or being). It also expresses a complete thought.
Parts of a Sentence
The dog runs fast.
A complete sentence has two main parts: a subject and a predicate. The subject tells us who or what the sentence is about, and the predicate tells us what the subject is doing.
