1. Information We Collect

We collect information users provide directly, such as names, email addresses, login details, child profile information, grade level, learning preferences, answers, prompts, messages, uploaded materials, support requests, and billing details.

We also collect information automatically when the Service is used, such as device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, activity logs, question attempts, time spent, progress data, crash reports, cookies, and similar technologies.

2. Student and Child Information

Because besparq.com is designed for children and learning, we may process information about students or child users when a parent, guardian, teacher, or school creates or authorizes an account.

When a school uses the Service for an educational purpose, we treat Student Data as confidential and use it only for authorized educational purposes, providing and improving the Service, security, support, legal compliance, and as directed by the school or permitted by law.

We do not sell Student Data and do not use Student Data for targeted advertising.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide lessons, practice sessions, AI tutoring, spelling activities, and progress tracking;
  • personalize learning paths, difficulty, recommendations, and feedback;
  • create and manage accounts, child profiles, family settings, and school access;
  • process payments, subscriptions, and customer support requests;
  • monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
  • detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and protect users;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. AI Processing

User prompts, answers, chat messages, and learning context may be processed by AI systems or AI service providers to generate explanations, hints, feedback, practice questions, and related learning support.

We design AI features for educational support and safety. We may use filtering, logging, and review processes to detect misuse, improve quality, and protect children.

We do not permit third-party AI providers to use Student Data to train their general models unless we have appropriate authorization and disclosures.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, understand usage, improve performance, and measure whether the Service is working well.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Some features may not work correctly without them.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate, support, protect, and improve the Service, or as otherwise described in this Policy.

  • Service providers: hosting, storage, AI infrastructure, authentication, payment processing, analytics, communications, security, and support vendors;
  • Schools and parents: teachers, school administrators, parents, or guardians may access information for students or child profiles they are authorized to supervise;
  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect users, the Service, or others;
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and support legitimate business needs.

We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify an individual. Backups, logs, and support records may take additional time to delete from all systems.

8. Access, Correction, and Deletion

Parents, guardians, and account holders may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify identity and authority before completing a request.

If a student account is connected to a school, parents or eligible students should usually contact the school first. We will work with the school to respond to authorized requests.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so users should also protect account credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

10. International Users

The Service may be operated from the United States and other locations where we or our service providers process data. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws.

11. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain uses or sharing. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.

To exercise privacy rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond as required by applicable law.

12. Children's Privacy

For children under 13, we require authorization from a parent, legal guardian, or school where required by law. Parents may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's personal information, subject to school account rules and legal requirements.

If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without required consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete or limit that information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting a notice in the Service or updating the effective date.
